Dorsets are a polled wool sheep known for producing heavily muscled lambs, hence their inclusion here.
They also produce a lamb crop any time of year.
The first Horned Dorsets were brought from the UK to the US in 1885.
Dorset ewes are prolific, heavy milkers with lambs having moderate growth and bulky carcasses.
