The St Croix is a polled hair sheep from the Virgin Islands, where it is called the Virgin Island White.
It is likely descended from hair sheep of West Africa, possibly with Wiltshire Horn and native Criollo blood.
Colour is solid tan, brown, black or white with brown or black spots.
The breed has good parasite resistance, documented in studies.
Distribution is the Caribbean and North America.
