Romanov sheep originated in Russia. They were imported into Germany and France.
In 1980, Canada brought in Romanov ewes and rams, and then they were brought into the United States.
Romanovs average 2-5 lambs.
Lambs are born pure black but turn gray. Romanov wool is used for rugs.
