Painted Desert Sheep

The Painted Desert Sheep is a hair sheep like the Mouflon.

It's long horns make it a trophy target, but it is popular among alternative livestock fans.

They shed their winter wool each spring. They can have up to four or five colors.

They breed out of season and lamb twice a year, with triplets possible.

They produce lean meat without a muttony taste.

Distribution is the United States.
