Gotland sheep were first bred on the Baltic island of Gotland, off Sweden.
Gotlands are polled and have short tails. They do not require crutching.
Lambs are born black and grow fast many, turning grey as they grow.
In Sweden the Gotland is kept for pelt and meat production.
Distribution is Europe, UK, Australia, NZ, and North America.
