St. Croix Ewe w/Triplets

"Who is that masked lamb?"
St. Augustine Ewe Lamb
There are many reasons why southern sheep
breeders choose St. Croix and St. Augustine:
St. Croix ewes make an exceptional foundation breed because of their outstanding maternal qualities. St. Croix ewes raise twins and triplets, and with some feed supplementation can produce three lambings in two years. They are bred at seven months of age to lamb as yearlings. St. Croix ram lambs weigh 80 lbs at 4 to 5 months of age when fed for market.
St. Augustine roots are the St. Croix and Dorper breeds. The St. Augustine ewes are heavier and retain the excellent maternal qualities of the St. Croix. St. Augustine ewes are docile and easy to handle. St. Augustine lambs are bigger and heavier than St. Croix lambs. St. Augustine ram lambs weigh 80 lbs at 3 to 4 months of age when fed for market.
